Arts on South is a combined effort by area landlords and South Street pioneers to revitalize the street by returning to the artistic roots that made it a bohemian mecca four decades ago. Naming it the South Street Renaissance, business owners are offering artists the usage of empty storefronts to promote their artwork.
Arts on South is reaching out to the community to develop its logo. The logo must be designed vertically and submitted in both full color and black and white. The images must be at least 300dpi. The image must represent the words “Arts on South” with the type face or image implying the celebration of the Arts (can be various arts or just visual).
Submissions:
Images can be submitted to copa321@mac.com or on disc at Eyes Gallery, 402 South Street.
Deadline:
Images are due March 31, 2009.
Arts on South will release news of the winner by Easter Sunday, April 12.
Prize:
The winner will receive a $500 gift certificate provided by ten South Street restaurants including Copabanana and South Street Souvlaki and retailers including Pearl Arts Supply and Eyes Gallery.
