Marie is an artist, jewelry maker and teacher living in the East Kensington section of Philadelphia. Her work is comprised of whimsical forms and colors that combine with found materials such as maps, fabric, wood and glass to create landscapes that mimic both aerial views and microscopic images and parallel the interaction between man and nature. A graduate of the Temple University Tyler School of Art, Marie has been exhibiting throughout Philadelphia, recently at the Proximity and Bambi Galleries as well as at the Trenton Avenue Arts Festival, the Memphis Flats development and North Bowl. If you can’t make it to the opening, the gallery is open during normal business hours (after hours by appointment), and the exhibition will be on display all month long. We are easily accessible from Philadelphia via the R2 line (the train station is a block from the gallery) and I-95. More information and directions here.
