All Studio Tours are FREE and Self-Guided
Tour artist studios and workspaces in and around Chestnut Hill, Mount Airy, Germantown, Manayunk, East Falls, West Philly, Center City West, Fairmount and North Philly.
Look for special workshops, including a photo booth at the studio of JJ Tiziou, letterpress workshop with Katie Baldwin, Site-specific installation at the studios of Maria Anasazi, Gina Michaels, John Phillips…and more! ART opening Second Thursday, October 8, 2009 for Peregrinations: Voyages of Time, Culture and Place at StrataSphere Art Gallery, 1854 Germantown Ave in Northern Liberties, featuring photographs by Karen Mauch, monotypes and mixed media by Linda Dubin Garfield and pottery by Lynne Berman. The exhibit runs til November 18. Gallery open Saturdays and Sundays 1 to 4 PM or by appointment.

About “Referencing the Familiar”
McKee’s edgy brushwork and intense color push and motivate her exploration of pathos, whimsy, and journey with the human experience. The result is a dynamic visual recording, resurrecting memories and connecting with the present. In her work McKee examines the process of relationships created between color, shape, drawing and dragging line-and-color. The result allows us to imagine and remember our own stories and ever changing reference points that are at once universal and unique.
